Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
Fees depend on which team member provides services and they range from $100-$190 per session (based on the fee schedule set out by the Psychologist's Association of Alberta). Sliding scale fees are available for those who demonstrate financial need.
Many extended health care plans provide coverage for the counselling services. Direct billing is available depending on your provider; please inquire.
How long will it take for my child to get better?
Just as adults have varying degrees of emotional injury or dysfunction, each child's journey is unique. Children, while resilient, do not have the cognitive and verbal skills necessary to integrate their emotional experiences that adults do. The time it takes for your child to get better will depend on their individual characteristics, their support network, their age, and the severity of their difficulties. A child will be most successful in therapy when their parents or guardians are fully invested and involved in the therapy process.
