Hello, I’m Brittany or Brit.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, sexuality, or traumatic experiences, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere to express and explore your struggles, emotions, hopes and desires.
My love for the Strathmore and Drumheller community led me to take over the practice in November 2023, and now I’m the Director-Owner.
I cater to your needs through an integrative Emotion Focused and Cognitive Behavioral lens. I offer a therapeutic approach by providing Emotion-Focused and Attachment Theory Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I’m trained in trauma and sexuality-based counselling while holding a Gottman’s Level One Marriage Counselling Certificate.
I’ve worked with adolescents, teens and adults in various settings, both in private practice and health care services. Having moved to Calgary six years ago, I previously worked at a Private Practice in Vancouver, working with adults and children experiencing anxiety and depression and as an Addiction Counsellor at the Alouette Correctional Centre for Women. While working at Wheatland County Counselling, I held a part-time position at Alberta Health Services as a Children’s Mental Health Therapist and Addiction Counsellor.
I’m a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Alder University and two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Queens University.
