Daryl Sutter
REGISTERED PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Hello, I’m Daryl.

My primary interest is working with individuals experiencing or who’ve experienced trauma.

I work with children, adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, couples, and seniors.

I focus on creating a trusting therapeutic relationship with you, enabling you to express emotions freely, without judgement, to build a foundation for changing life patterns.

I listen to your narratives to uncover how the past influenced the present and can then be changed to guide toward the future.

As a life-long learner, I seek avenues to strengthen my practice and better connect with you.

My primary methodology is Narrative Therapy, using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) strategies and strength-based and solution-focused therapy.

I’m a certified member of the Alberta Firefighters Association’s Occupational Awareness Training for Treating First Responders Trauma, The Brain Story, Little Warriors, Prevent IT! Clinical Trauma Professional Certification, Victim Risk Assessment Level 1, Cognitive Coaching Foundation Training, Cognitive Coaching Advanced Part I, and Intrapersonal Conflict Facilitation.

I’m a retired educator of 30-plus years as an elementary generalist. Presently I’m a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), Psychology of Alberta Association (PAA), and Canadian Psychology Association (CPA).

I have a Master’s in Counselling from the City University of Seattle and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University.

I also maintain a practice in Claresholm, Alberta.
